
Cloud-based storage vendor TwinStrata said recently that it has closed a Series B of round $ 8,000,000 of funds. As per the press release, Avalon companies led the investment round. The TwinStrata says it will utilize the investment to increase sales and marketing efforts for its Cloud Array solution.
"With this financing, investors have confirmed their continued confidence in the market development potential solutions with TwinStrata cloud storage gateway" Nicos Vekiarides, TwinStrata CEO said in a statement. "Our recently announced distribution agreements with DataCore and Veeam are testimony to the growing interest in cloud storage and backup solutions in the cloud."
The gateway Twinstrata CloudArray cloud storage is available in configurations of virtual and physical device, according to the press release. It allows customers to backup infrastructure and connects applications to the cloud.
TwinStrata said that CloudArray supports multiple providers, both private and public cloud storage, including AT & T, Rackspace, Amazon, EMC Atmos, OpenStack, Nirvanix, Mezeo, Scality and Peer1. CloudArray also features in-flight/at-rest data encryption, dynamic caching, deduplication, optimizing bandwidth, cloud snapshots and with high availability.
