Apple's data center efforts could be expanding yet again, using the firm reportedly leasing space from a new wholesale data center facility in Silicon Valley.Data Center Knowledge reports that Apple signed a seven-year lease with DuPont Fabros Technologies recently, worth approximately 11,000 square feet of data center space in their Santa Clara, California, facilities. The start of the offer is scheduled for sometime within the third quarter, once the facility increased and running.
This data center effort would alter from Apple's existing technique, which includes involved the corporation building a unique facilities. Apple has data centers in Newark, Calif., also such as Maiden, N.C. Aforementioned facility is 500,000 feet square, roughly 5 times how big is the one in Newark.
