Consona Corporation acquired a cloud-based open source ERP provider, Compiere Inc.

Indianapolis, June 16, 2010 - Consona Corporation, a privately owned company jointly owned by Battery Ventures VI LP and Thoma Bravo LLC and worldwide leader in providing customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and services for corporations of different sizes, announced today that it has closed its purchase of Compiere Inc, a premium supplier of cloud-based, open-source ERP and CRM software in a stock deal. Details on the price of the exchange weren't revealed.

According to Jeff Tognoni, Chairperson of Consona Corporation, the deal positions Consona to become a big supplier of enterprise-class, cloud-based business solutions, as well as supplies the company with an entry point into the distribution ERP market.

Computech IT Services updates BusinessMan Software

Computech IT Services has refreshed BusinessMan Software, its enterprise resource planning software which has customer relationship management capabilities. Version 2 of this business-management application takes along a bunch of new and augmented features for handling inventory and resources.

BusinessMan offers an easy to use, menu-driven interface targeted at providing quick access to its huge choice of features. Those features include quotations and invoicing modules, providers and stock modules, an entirely integrated email client, and a resource scheduler. Users can generate unlimited roles or work orders from sales orders and schedule them for resource management; time sheets, purchase orders, and other costs are recorded against the job and the client order to get correct costs for each sale.
