Promising its new Fusion programmes will bring together for enterprises the previously disparate world of exchange information, BI capacities, partnership revelations, and business-process structure, Oracle executive VP Thomas Kurian said customers will be in a position to combine and match the new Java-based applications with existing applications and should be under no pressure from Oracle to upgrade.
While Kurian did not say when the Fusion applications should be available, CEO Larry Ellison has said that they are going to be available in the second half of 2010. Exclaiming that some crucial things have been done in each module of Fusion Applications to supply truly differentiated worth propositions, Kurian highlighted those enhancements for Oracle's core horizontal application areas including CRM, financials, and supply chain.
