Alpha II and Allscripts enter an application integration contract

Alpha II, a frontrunner in health care coding, compliance and repayment, pronounced today a new integration contract with Allscripts, the leader in the supply of clinical software, information and connectivity solutions for consultants. Alpha II's ClaimStaker software will shortly be offered as an integrated response to the Allscripts customer base now using MyWay, Tiger PM and Vision PM. Alpha II's CodeWizard also will be integrated into the Allscripts MyWay application. Expected date of completion for the integrations is Q1 2011 for MyWay and Tiger, and Second-quarter 2011 for integration into Vision.
"Allscripts provides our physician practice customers with a broad range of industry leading EHR and Revenue Cycle solutions", announced John Beck, VP, Business Solutions Portfolio for Allscripts. "For years, our partnership with Alpha II and the integrated workflow we've created has allowed us not only to differentiate ourselves in the marketplace, but also to deliver practical, tangible clinical and financial results to our customers. Together, we're now working on enhancing the MyWay, Tiger PM and Vision PM applications leveraging the same successful approaches we used in our Professional and Enterprise solutions... the results will be compelling."
This agreement builds on existing decade-long relationship between the organizations. Now , Alpha II's ClaimStaker and CodeWizard applications are incorporated with Allscripts Professional PM, Enterprise PM and Professional EHR. The integration of these Alpha II products helps Allscripts to make certain that consultants and speciality practices capture correct history, examination and medical decision making determinations, as well as authenticating professional and institutional claim validity.
"In an era so focused on regulatory compliance, it is crucial that Allscripts' provider customers have access to industry-leading claim scrubbing, coding and claims editing", announced Stuart Newsome, vice chairman, business development of Unicor Medical, one of the programme engineers behind the Alpha II cobranded solution. "We've been proud to call the Allscripts organization our partner for ten years now, and this integration of Alpha II applications into Allscripts' additional products further strengthens claim validity and clinical defensibility for its customers."
