First International Computer, Inc. (FIC) and U.S.-based Tridium, a device-to enterprise application software and integration solution supplier, agreed a reseller agreement to jointly explore the international hardware market.
FIC will work with Tridium in developing trusty and user friendly platforms to control the automation, security and energy saving techniques of buildings, according to Ming J. Chien, FIC's chairman and president.
With a coalition with Tridium, FIC will provide its customers with complete device-to-enterprise solutions for building management.
"Tridium's Niagara Framework technology integrates with today's various building systems to manage and control building environments, energy, security, lighting, video, fire, life safety and even more. It's an efficient management platform targeting building automation, energy automation and security automation,"Chien asserted. Also to add to this, NiagaraAX, FIC will also distribute Tridium's Sedona Framework, JACE (Java Application Control Engine) controllers, and I/O Controller around the planet.
By using Tridium's software, hardware platforms in application development, it can cut down the price of application development and speed up the time to market, according to Chien. Marc Petock, Tridium's vice president of global marketing and communications, recounted the tie-up between the 2 corporations was an ideal match.
"FIC is known for quality hardware design throughout the industry. Marrying their hardware design capability to our open-architecture application framework is the best for both of us in the equipment developing market," Petock announced.
