BI solution for Warehouse Management Systems announced by AFS Technologies

AFS Technologies, Inc. (AFS) has made an announcement about its release of a new Business Intelligence (BI) solution targeted towards Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). BI for WMS is a powerful intelligence solution for warehouse operations.

The demand for a BI solution integrated with WMS was recognized by AFS. There are graphical views of dashboards included in the software for providing an immediate feedback of the situation of the ongoing operations. It also indicates whether the warehouse is failing to carry the processes to receive, ship, pick-up etc. on the basis of time elapsed during the shift and the time that is expected for delivery. This BI solution also includes data grids, charts and analytical dashboards which improve the management process extensively. Information can be easily viewed in a summarized format and also for some specific data. The dashboards, grids and charts can be printed and exported to integrate in presentations or emails.

Ken Martin, product manager, for WMS at AFS Technologies said that BI tools need daily or weekly uploads of data extraction but this is not the case with BI for WMS. It updates the data immediately and simultaneously with the ongoing operations of the day. With the help of dashboards, managers are enabled to view operational data such as receiving details, shipping information, inventory overviews, gains and losses simultaneously and quickly.

A number of real-time dashboards are present in BI for WMS which include labor, performance, space utilization, control of inventory, revenues and much more. The analytical data shown also indicates the trends of the current day information against that of the previous period and compares it with the targeted objectives of the industry.
