Fujitsu introduces three new server blades

Fujitsu made an announcement about the availability of three new blade servers for its Primergy BX900 Dynamic Cube x86 blade system. The new servers are a combination of efficient hardware, solutions and services of Fujitsu’s infrastructure with the processor technology from Intel Xeon.

Startup Smooth Stones server chip project

$48 million have been raised by Startup Smooth-Stone Inc. from a group of investor which includes ATIC, ARM and Texas Instruments for the development of high performing and low power chips. These chips are said to transform the server and data center markets significantly. Founded in the year 2008, the company claimed to bring the ultra low power technology used in mobile phones to data centers.

IBM made an announcement of its new system and storage offerings which are designed to help medium enterprises in managing data, increasing flexibility and reducing the cost and complexities of IT infrastructure required for the business.

LaCie 5big Backup Server powered by Windows Home Server is now available

After a small preview at the consumer electronics show held earlier in the year 2010, LaCie has made an announcement that the 5 big Backup Server powered by Windows Home Server is now available in the market. This 5 bay appliance offers centralized sharing of files, data backup and restore for as many as 10 computers and 25 Macs and is intended for small businesses.
