Oracle has pulled off the OpenSolaris project

The OpenSolaris development project was recently called off by Oracle as expected. An email was sent by Bill Nasheim, VP of Solaris Platform Engineering, Mike Shapiro, Solaris kernel developer and Chris Armes, Solaris revenue product engineering software’s director to the development team of Solaris which precisely says that the community driven open source OpenSolaris project started 5 years back by Sun will not be continued further by Oracle.
