Solera to Sell “Camera” for Network Security

Solera Networks just concluded its third round of funding, an indication that the time is right for its “camera” that records the activity happening on computer networks.
The south Jordan company received an infusion of $15 million by Trident Capital with participation from existing investors Canopy Ventures and Allegis Capital.

Citrix and McAfee Make Virtual Desktop Security Easier and More Scalable

Recently at Citrix Synergy 2010, McAfee, Inc. and Citrix Systems declared a strategic partnership and collaboration deal to make virtual desktop security easier and more scalable for large corporate deployments. The collaboration between the two pioneers in security and virtualization will enable Citrix XenDesktop clients to extend management of desktop security to virtual environments by using the McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator platform. The partnership is the direct result of growing client demand for integrated security management in large scale corporate deployments of desktop virtualization. The combination is expected to address the requirement to provide granular endpoint security policies for each virtual desktop while also addressing scalability, performance and complexity challenges that sprout from virtualization.
